Jackie's Journey "Look What's NEW...!"

“Look What’s NEW…!”

Our newest release, “The Princess Prayers”, is a marvelous new opportunity for the five princesses to accompany your toddler in prayer from a princess point of view. Princess Joy, Grace, Faith, Hope and Charity are found rehearsing the truth of the verse being taught in the form of a heartfelt prayer in her own words.

Sometimes prayer seems distant and impersonal…with words that seem empty.  “Princess Prayers” takes God’s words from the verse and prays them back to God.  It’s a loving tribute to a caring and loving God who listens for us to take time to spend precious moments in earnest communication with Him.

As moms we are looking for an opportunity to hold our little prince or princess close and lead them into understanding an open communication with God.  They watch us and listen as we talk to an unseen God with the faith of a mom that intimately knows Him.

We are a letter…known and read by all men (II Cor. 3: 2), and our prince and princesses are reading us with intense interest when we humbly bow our heads in prayer before our Almighty God.  “Princess Prayers” reveals a mom’s heart that is yielded to God and with joy and brokenness is praying God’s words aloud with her little one.

We are so grateful and pleased to be able to introduce you to the

latest book in “The Princess Parable Series”.

“Princess Prayers” is available now at www.Amazon.com,

www.BarnesandNoble.com or at a local bookstore near you.

“Praying God’s Words”

Would you like to inspire greatness and godly ideals in your little princess?

“Prayer is the preface to the book of Christian living,

the text of the new life sermon,

the girding on of the armor for battle,

the pilgrim’s preparation for his journey;

and it must be supplemented by action

or is amounts to nothing.”  Anonymous

“Princess Prayers” is the latest of our books in The Princess Parable Series.  This charming hardbound book introduces your child to the wonderful world of communicating with God.  As you read the pages, your little one will be listening to God’s words from the verse that is intertwined in a delightful rhyming prayer. It has been carefully written with your child’s perspective in mind.  Your princess will be caught up in the sincerity of the melodious tone of the words.  The illustrations are captivating and will visually invite your child to listen and participate with you.  Crystal Bowman penned the thoughtful content and we are thrilled to be able to bring Princess Prayers to you and your little one.

Arriving just in time for Easter, “Princess Prayers” is available on www.Amazon.com, www.Barnesandnoble.com  or at a local bookstore near you.

Jackie's Journey "Princess Prayers"

“Princess Prayers”

Once upon a time, in a magnificent castle perched high on a hill, lived five princesses.  Their names were Joy, Grace, Faith, Charity and Hope.  They were blessed to be the daughters of the King…together they explore the kingdom, grow in virtue and discover the importance of beauty within.

As moms we prayerfully believe God to reach each of our little prince and princesses for His kingdom.  Our greatest joy is to know our little one is secure in the heart of the King of Kings.  We look for ways to creatively take the Word of God and through reading and teaching, to see each one come to understand the acceptance and provision of our loving God.  Developing character and virtue is included in those teachable moments we are given consistently every day!

Inspired by Jesus’ Parables our little girls can learn about God, His Kingdom and His love for them from a princess perspective.  This month The Princess Parable Series is overjoyed to announce the arrival of our newest release, “Princess Prayers”!

The five princesses invite you to join them

as they begin to pray verses of God's Word

into the heart of your little one

through the pages of Princess Prayers.

Arriving just in time for Easter, “Princess Prayers” is available at www.Amazon.com, www.Barnesandnoble.com  or a local bookstore near you.

Jackie's Journey "They're COMING...!"

In the coming months The Princess Parables will be bringing to your little princesses two new releases.  We are excited to introduce  “Princess Prayers” that will be arriving this April just in time for Easter!

The second publication, “The Daughters of the King Devotional will be released in October of this year!

We know these two books will be a blessing to your little ones, as the Word is being opened up to them each day in terms they can understand and relate to.  These treasurable books will draw small active minds into a God-consciousness and will inspire their thoughts, as they listen to mom or dad’s voice whisper to them prayers and teachings with God’s comforting and encouraging words.

Jeanna and I have been blessed to be able to bring our two seasonal books A Royal Christmas to Remember and A Royal Easter Story to you this past year.

There never was a person, who did anything worth doing,

who did not receive more than he gave.” C.S. Lewis

The Princess Parable Series continues to be a rich source of biblical truth and instruction for little ones eager to hear.  We hope you will be as excited and encouraged as we are to be able to carry truth from God’s Word to little waiting princess hearts.  Our purpose is that little princesses and young knights might be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they will have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they will know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

We want to thank you each of you that has welcomed

The Princess Parable Series into your homes and hearts.

Please join us in giving thanks for these newest additions the The Princess Parable Series.

True Friendship

Thank you for a wonderful book launch! We could not have done it without you!  We know many little girls received the books in their Easter baskets this weekend.  We are just giddy thinking about it!

Friends, you have been so supportive and kind during this launch of our new book, A Royal Easter Story! Jackie and I are so thankful!

When we look to friendship in the Bible and around us, we see those who hold each other up.  Friends are ones who think the best of the other person and strive to make them successful in all they do.  Friends are the ones who make it clear they care about you and accept you for who you are.

Looking back over the last couple months, it has been a wild ride full of princess fun. We have spoken to hundreds of moms on what it means to make the King in your home feel like he has come home to his castle.  We have manned booths across the country sharing our Princess Parables tools and meeting so many of you at conferences.  We threw a wonderful princess dress, Easter basket and books giveaway with almost 1,000 entries!

Most of all, so many of you have shared your love of the Princess Parables with your family and friends! Some of you have even found time to give us a good review. You trust us, believe in us and care enough to recommend us, and for that we are truly grateful!

Stories have flooded in over the years of what a difference our books have made in your families' lives.  This has kept us going and helped us to stay strong in the vision we feel God has given us.

Here are a few stories: We have had moms tell us their husbands would never read God's word, but when their daughter asks him to read a Princess Parables book, he will gladly. We believe God's word does not come back void. We have had dads let us know they can't read one of our books without crying at the end. Some families have decided to not do Disney in their homes and our books have given a different option. We have had girls have Princess Joy birthday parties and give their gifts to Samaritans Purse or the Ronald McDonald house.  We have heard of many Princess Parables Clubs and Princess Teas where girls learn character qualities and biblical lessons.  And most of all, we have just enjoyed watching little girls come to our booth and let us know how much they love our princesses!

As we wrap up this weekend in Cincinnati at a convention, we are in awe of all that God has done.  He has been faithful and with us this entire journey.  Thank you for your friendship and support!  You have blessed us!

We will be launching a new book in the fall, A Royal Christmas to Remember, and pre-orders will begin on July 13, 2016.   We will be doing giveaways and more fun things then! If you would like to be part of the Princess Promoters Insiders Group on Facebook, we would love to have you join our friends there!

Jackie's Journey: A Royal Easter Story

“Rejoice with Us!”

The Princess Parables Book Series is designed to inspire noble thoughts and actions.  We have been blessed in so many ways by those of you who buy them, read them and use them as a teaching tool to minister to the spirit of your little girls.  We have a Princess Parable Prayer Book for Toddlers and a Devotional Book coming soon. We have recently been asked by our publishing house to submit a proposal to bring you another series of books for the little princesses who started with us six years ago and are now ready for chapter books.  We humbly seek God’s Word for inspiration and His heart for leading.

Will you pray with us?

The first of our two seasonal princess books arrives in bookstores tomorrow, the 26th of January 2016!  We are excited to announce its arrival in time for Easter.   A Royal Easter Story is taken from Luke 11.  We are introducing our five young Knights in this book for those of you who have patiently waited for them to arrive.

From Luke 11:9-13, A Royal Easter Story reveals the truth of a caring and selfless good Father who not only gives us good gifts, but also answers us when we seek Him. The princesses’ life-lesson is that a TRUE princess must learn to lose her life serving “Others first” - no “Me first” attitudes.  While in carriages racing the young knights to the annual Easter celebration, the girls come upon a lost little girl who desperately needs their help. They terminate their contest with the boys to give their attention to the more important needs of little forlorn Alina. Her name means “light” and she opens the eyes of the princesses to see the real race in life.

Easter is the celebration of our heavenly Father and King, who is “The Light”. He is noble and always focuses on others and what is eternal and matters most … US!  He never sacrifices the permanent on the altar of the immediate!  Our Father’s devotion caused Him to wage war against principalities on our behalf. He gave the ultimate sacrifice (His life for ours on the cross!).  Not only did He die for us, but He is alive and is available to all who ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK!

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:9-13

Please visit our store to find our “hot off the press” Easter Book.  Also available are the Princess companion pieces (Princess Dolls, Princess Sticker and Activity Books, Princess I Can Read books for the emergent readers, A Treasury of Three Princesses or a Collection of all Five Princesses and much more…).  Our seasonal Princess Christmas Book is also due out for this Christmas 2016.  We are so grateful to each of you and the encouragement you give us as we continue to step into the print HE leaves behind…

Life Applications for Princesses

We have an exciting lesson for your kids this Easter!

Should we tell you what it is all about before the book comes out?  Yes?  I think so too! Just don’t tell our publisher!

Like a scrumptious crock pot dinner, A Royal Easter Story has been brewing slowly in Jackie’s and my heart over the last couple of years, and we are thrilled the story is finally here, in color, for all your children to enjoy.

Just like all the books in the Princess Parables Series, this latest edition is full of lessons and character examples.  I am going to take this week and next to expound upon the two verses and parables we used to create this inspirational story.  Our hope is when you order the book and read it to your princess, these lessons can be brought to life.

The reason the Princess Parables was created in the first place is we wanted your daughters to love God’s word and the parables of Jesus.  We wanted to help create a conversation at bedtime when they are sitting on your lap reading their favorite princess book.

This is our hope and goal.

Here is the first part of the focused verse of A Royal Easter Story.

Luke 11:9-10

So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

ASK:  If your kids are anything like mine, they ask A LOT of questions.  I have always encouraged them by saying “You can ask me anything!” I believe this verse does not mean if we ask God for anything, he will give it. He is not a genie waiting to fulfill our every desire. For as any good parent knows, not everything my kids ask for is good for them.  Just like my father in heaven knows what is good for me.  Ask and it (the answer) will be given to you.  The answer to a prayer is the biggest way we ask.  Sometimes the answer is yes.  Sometimes it is no and sometimes it is wait.  In A Royal Easter Story, we have Princess Charity asking her father a question and he answers.  It is symbolic of our heavenly father answering our prayers.

SEEK:  Hide-and-seek was a favorite for my kids for years.  They had just as much fun hiding and they did seeking. However, seeking was the only way to find the reward.  In the same way, God wants us to seek Him. He is not a hovering, demanding parent who controls us like robots, but he has allowed free will.  Within this freedom, He desires us to seek His salvation, His will, His wisdom and His plan. A three-fold promise is found in this scripture.  God says “You will find me!”  In A Royal Easter Story, we find the princesses helping a lost little girl where they promise to SEEK her family and not give up.  They were persistent in their promise, just as God is to us.

KNOCK: One of my kids went through a Knock-Knock joke phase.  Did any of yours? Funny as they were, it was never just one joke, but as many as they could say in a short period of time, until they were out of breath. I was reminded that when we knock, we never rap just once, but it is a series of knocks that open the door.  As we look at Luke 11:9-10, we can see Jesus’ idea building: first we ask, then we seek and lastly, we knock – showing repetition. Jesus wants us to pray repeatedly, not because He didn’t hear us the first time, but because the practice of prayer is saint-perfecting.  In our Easter story, the princesses are supposedly lost, and as they return they KNOCK.  The door opens to a worried father who is relieved to see them.  As promised, if we knock, the door will be opened.

Fun Fact:  Just so you know we have “hidden” this parable in the story.  We have used all capitals ASK, SEEK, KNOCK in the text so you can ask your kids, why is this word capitalized?  It will make sense in the end and be a great teaching tool.

In just 6 six days, A Royal Easter Story will be released.  We can’t wait for you to make this book part of your Easter traditions and stories.  You can order it here if you haven’t already! Enjoy it!  Let us know what you think too.

Impacting Your Culture!

There is a great movie coming out this weekend – Woodlawn.

The movie is based on a true story of a small town set in Alabama in the 1970’s.  A gifted high school football player learns to embrace his talent and his faith as he battles racial tensions on and off the field.  This inspirational new “Christian” movie is all about learning to love and unify during a time of hate and division. Many “big” Hollywood names have shown up for this movie:  Sean Astin (The Hobbit, Rudy), Nic Bishop (ABC’s Body of Proof), Sherri Shepard (NBC’s The View, 30 Rock) and Oscar-winning Jon Voight, just to name a few.  This is not your old-fashioned low budget Christian movie.

I want to encourage you to go see it with your whole family.  Yes, I am hoping you will fork out the $10+ per ticket and see it in the movie theater.

I know you can wait and watch it on Netflix or rent the DVD, but here are a handful of good reasons to NOT do that.

1.  Supporting Christian movies sends Hollywood a message.  Growing up, there were very few Christ-centered movies.  Finally, Hollywood is acknowledging the 91+ million Christian movie-goers.  In the past, Christians were portrayed in movies as pedophiles, killers or strict-no-fun kind of people.  They are seeing us and hearing us now, so let’s support the effort.

2.  Going to watch Woodlawn is good for your whole family.  The movie is rated PG -  so take everyone.  Your older kids will enjoy a well-made movie and with good acting and your younger kids will be excited to see a “grown-up movie”.  But most of all, you can have a wonderful conversation afterwards about the truths and questions this movie is bound to create.

3.  Woodlawn is a good tool to reach the lost.  Nothing speaks to culture like movies.  Woodlawn is a natural bridge in conversation with someone who doesn’t know Christ.  This will make you relevant around “the water cooler” at work or at the playground talking to moms.  Aren’t you looking for a way to talk about Christ to strangers?  Here is your opportunity!

4. Christians need to unify behind the message.  Hollywood has the ability to reach millions of people for Christ.  People who have no faith will buy a ticket to a movie about football and not even know it is a Christian movie.  They will stay and be entertained by the good acting and moving story.  However, they will also take away a piece of God’s truth in the process.  We Christians have to unify our dollars and our influence behind messages like Woodlawn.  Then Hollywood will hear our unified voice and keep making more movies like this one.

5. Going to see Woodlawn helps endorse fellow believers.  We are blessed to know a few people in the faith-based movie-making arena.  Most of our friends are sold out to Jesus and really want to make a difference in the world.  They are not in Hollywood to make the big bucks, but there to impact culture in a way unheard of before.  They are missionaries in a field untouched by Christians in the past.  They are going head-to-head with the evil one as they impact a world that doesn’t know Jesus.  So by going to see Woodlawn and other movies to come in the next years, you are supporting a missionary in hostile territory.

I hope to see you all at the movies on October 16th when Woodlawn premieres.  Go and make a difference!

Check out the movie trailer!
